Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began when she was 14 years old. Aspen Ladd started training in BJJ, kickboxing, boxing, and wrestling prior to her professional debut at WCFC aged 18. Ladd went on an impressive 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent in the very first round. She then went back to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian prior to going to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9, where she faced Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was able to hand Aspen the win in a single-handed manner and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's career as an amateur. Ladd rebounded from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011, and was victorious by the first round TKO. Invicta 16, she was able to move from Bantamweight to her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed the strong techniques she learned from wrestling to beat McGill. She ended her fight via an KO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy with an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) because Ladd was not able to make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the second round by TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her last bout for the organization. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut was in UFC Fight Night 118 when she fought Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina with the ground and pound strategy and earned an TKO second round victory. Her dominance continued and she got a bigger win in her subsequent fight with Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd took on Evinger to the punch in the opening round, and was awarded the Bonus Performance of the Night. Her first major fight at The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Ladd's victory was a unanimous decision and her Fight of the Night award was awarded to both fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak in just 16 seconds. Yana Knitskaya fell in the third at UFC 7 on ESPN. She took on Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. It was a loss by majority decision.
