Her parents include Jim O'Grady who is a financial advisor, and Jan O'Grady. Her parents raised her in Wheaton (Illinois) and she was a graduate of Wheaton's North High School. Prior to shifting into Los Angeles, she appeared in commercials for a number of companies. The career of O'Grady began as an actress in commercials and models in Montgomery Ward.
